New Fightstick in the works

I am working hard on a all new multi-platfrom custom fightstick. It will sport all sanwa parts, real wood construction and work on PS3/360/PC. I'm sticking with a tried and tested 8 button layout with the option of plugging the last two or just not having them cut and I want it to be thin, really thin.

Sanwa or Seimitsu

Just a quick update to say that we are moving all our product range away from the USA style buttons and joysticks and will be using Sanwa or Seimitsu parts as standard.

If you would like to have a USA style machine just let us know and we will be happy to help.

iMame4all and iOS 4.2 updates

Ok so it’s been a while but just wanted to make a some updates.

iMame4all is now on version 1.5.0-1 which adds a bunch of new features and some fixes along the way. I have been “testing/ playing extensively” on this build and it runs great with the iPad arcade so if you have not done so already do update.

iOS 4.2

Remember if you have an ipad arcade it is a jailbroken device accessory so don’t rush into updating until the jailbreak and iMame4all have been confirmed working.

Yup that’s correct M.A.M.E is available on a iDevice near you providing you are jailbroken and have access to the cydia store.

We have been in talks to the developer and have a working button configuration that has been ported to our iPad arcades, to mark this massive development in emulation (well for us at freekade) we will be testing a new button layout (think neogeo). Expect to see some snaps and information appear on the products page in the next week or so as some parts are on back order.

Here is a quick breakdown of some of the features of imame4all:

- Full speed on iPad HD. Almost perfect on iPhone 4.

- Autorotate.

- Smoothed image.

- Scanline & TV Filter.

- Full screen, windowed.

Please check it out, the onscreen controls play well and it has wiimote support so get your retro gaming fix until you get your hands on a Freekade iPad arcade.

Well, this morning was a rush to get out the door and I was busy putting up the auction for the iPad arcade on eBay and posting out some tweets to try and get the word out. I tweeted and emailed away to the folks that covered the previous iPad arcade and a few short hours later I checked engadget.com for my daily news fix to see that we have been lucky enough to get an article and link backs to the auction.

New site

Here we are nearly a month after the excitement of the iPad arcade prototype coverage and with the incredible work done by Afovea.com and SimianEnterprises.co.uk I am armed with a new site that helps bring the most out of Freekade's products.

Along with the new site we are also picking up a new seller in the form of RetroGT you can expect to see a range of iPad arcades and NES hard drives in the short term but longer term who knows, in the mean time check their site out for all your retro gaming clothing needs and more.

iPad arcade cabinet brings April Fools' joke to life.

This was the title of a story run by engdget.com and was the start of a crazy email filled two weeks that ranged from genuine enquires and a shop in norway wanting to be a stockist all the way through to cry's of FAKE (the joy of youtube).

Well a little over a month later and a lot of hard work and we have a finished iPad arcade made from wood and not card this time. Check it out in the products section and watch out for a article on the finished iPad arcade.
